Do Jerusalem Arabs have the right to vote in Jerusalem elections? And if not, do you think this has anything to do with the lack of government resources spent on Arab neighborhoods?

Also, please varify the claim that Israeli Arabs don't pay taxes? Is this true or not?

It is important ot recall that the security wall was built, not as part of some nefarious plot, but as a result of the suicide bomber war Arafat, the elected leader of the Palestinians, initiated. The political "Right" in Israel opposed building it. It is the Palestinian leadership and its committment to a terror war against Israel that is responsible, not Israel.

The Arabs in Jerusalem have the right to vote in municipal elections, but they have boycotted them. If they did, they would have 1/3 of the seats in the city council and that would certainly give them considerable political clout. So we see that "continuing the struggle" is more important to them than economic development of their part of Jerusalem.

BTW-I find it hard to believe that their infant mortality rate is significantly higher than the Jewish one. What is the source for that information?
